The following information is to provide further clarification to our original post (5/18/15) on the upcoming regulations on Confined Spaces.
OSHA has released its long-awaited Confined Spaces in Construction rule. While the rule does not address the multiple types of confined spaces as in the proposal, there still may be some changes that we are happy to assist you address in your existing safety programs. The rule goes into effect on August 3, 2015 within OSHA’s jurisdiction, and Washington State will have six months to adopt similar or more-stringent language. (At this time, it does not appear that the OSHA rule is vastly different from what we currently have in Washington.)
