There’s something to be said about how much technology can help us in the construction industry. From research into safe building materials to apps that help prevent falls onsite, we’re excited to celebrate National Geek Pride Day.

Speaking of Construction Junkie…If you want a mix of OSHA updates, hilarious videos, and the latest hard hat innovations, this is the place for you. In the last month, there have been pieces about haunted construction sites and even caps that can remotely track worker fatigue. You can subscribe to their newsletter to get the latest updates.

L&I has free online safety courses (these do not count for certification, call us for that!) – great for refreshing your knowledge, also read: FREE
NIOSH Ladder Safety App – you can use your phone as an angle measuring tool for extension ladder safety right onsite
Google Translate – (available on Android, iOS, and web-based browsers) with people from all walks of life on job sites, this app is a lifesaver
Safety + Health Magazine – if you like digging into the nitty gritty of rules, health studies and regulations, you’ll love this site
