Washington State – The Integrated Group will be participating in the 9th Annual Construction Safety Day tomorrow, May 4th, at the Washington State Fair Showplex in Puyallup. From 7am – 3:45pm, the event will host 17 different speakers and over 40 different exhibits. The event is hosted in partnership by the Washington Governor’s Industrial Safety and Health Advisory Board and the Department of Labor and Industries, Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
The Safety Director for The Integrated Group, Rhett Carpenter, CHST, will be speaking on the safety essentials of trenching and excavation. Titled Excavation / Trenching: You’re in too Deep! , Rhett will be covering Federal and State requirements for a competent person on excavation sites, soil analysis techniques and classifications, understanding requirements for shoring, sloping, shielding and benching, and much more. Rhett is expected to speak around 2:30pm, so feel free to come and join in the conversation. We look forward to seeing you there!
